  1. So cool! He looked so different clean shaven. That W is awesome. I love it. Great vlog Jordan. I hope a local artist can bring that mural back to life!!

  2. I was at the Waylon concert in CLEAR LAKE Iowa at the SURF BALLROOM back in the 90's when he finally returned for the first time since the plane crash. I was literally 20 feet away from him during the concert, front and center….I knew Jerry Dwyer who rented to the plane to Buddy Holly and who eventually found the wreckage of the plane. RIP WAYLON

  3. Here's a little trivia, Waylon asked Stevie Nicks to write a song for him and Jesse to sing. She did a demo with Don Henley of "Leather and lace ". Waylon and Jesse broke up and Stevie used the demo on her solo album "Bella Donna". Excellent vlog Jordan!

  4. Thanks for helping to conjure up my memories of Waylonโ€™s music, especially a concert with Jessi Colter in the late 1970s. His recordings were thoughtful and biographical.

  5. Thanks for the extended stay, JORDAN!! Saw Waylon & wife Jessie Colter in Feb 1997 – both very talented. Who is keeping JAH back home? UPBEAT vlog – glad things are going well. ENJOY your holiday & see ya tomorrow!!

  6. As usual I really learned a lot about Waylon Jennings. He was very talented. I enjoyed his music. He and Buddy would have good together. Thank you Jordan. Enjoy yourself on the road.

  7. When I was a teenager my grandfather was a home builder in Dallas. I spent the summer I was 17 working for him. We built Buddy Holly's widows house that summer in uptown Dallas

  8. My coworker was his house keeper and nanny lol. She had the door locked one day because a โ€œhomelessโ€ man was trying to get in…. it was Willie Nelson lol

  9. Great Vlog Jordan , Thank You for sharing, one of my brothers went there last year and got to visit with Waylonโ€™s brother . My brother told me he is such a nice & down to earth guy , nicest guy you could ever get to meet . I was in hopes that you could have got to meet him . Safe travels Jordan ๐ŸŒนLoves to Jahster ๐Ÿ’‹๐Ÿ’‹๐Ÿ’‹โค๏ธ๐Ÿ’‹๐Ÿ’‹๐Ÿ’‹๐Ÿ’‹

  10. The secret to Waylons guitar sound is a MXR Phase 90 guitar pedal that small orange box with one knob. You can hear it on songs like Luckenbach Texas when the song first starts. Turn it up loud.

  11. I had never heard fo Waylon Jennings but I have heard of many of his songs. I just never paid attention. I just love the little museum. There seems to be these tucked away Gems where very few even know about!! I know you have said you were not as into doing an Americana road trip vlogs…but there is so much content out there!! I know most of us will never make it to those parts of the country that have been forgotten. Thank YOu Jordan!!!!!!! o,s, You are looking great! and have inspired me to go on WW but with a low carb twist. So im doin it!!

  12. I'm so glad you did this vlog on Waylon Jennings , because I was thinking about him when you did the Buddy Holly vlog . I love Waylon Jennings !! My favorite song he sung is ," Luckenbach Texas ", but he said he never liked that song and my favorite song Waylon & Jessie did together is , " Come with me " . I had that record and it was on a cassette tape too and I wore them out playing that song so much . lol !! Waylon said , he loved Elvis , but he knew he wouldn't be able to play in his band , so he started playing with Buddy Holly and The Crickets . He was wild for awhile there , but boy ….he could sing . You know I remember when he had diabetes , but I didnt know he lost his leg because of it . I just heard about that the other day . That is sad . Anyway…. Thank you so much Jordan for taken the time to fo this vlog !! I love it !! ๐Ÿ‘โค
I sure would love to visit this place in person someday .

  13. Hi Jordan awesome vlog on The late great singer Waylon Jennings. Very nice Waylon Jennings museum. I liked his theme song from Dukes of Hazzard. Great vlog ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป๐Ÿ˜บ

  14. My Dad grew up in Littlefield and my Grandmother owned a little store in Maple. My Dad went to the same school as Waylon but about 7 years older than him. He's buried a few miles down the road in Morton. Loved Waylon's music and he definitely was a good looking man! Thank you for this blast from the past!

  15. What made Waylon so special to me was while he was a star yet he never acted like one and was very approachable, at least that is what I heard. Same holds true with Willie and Cash and that is why no matter how much times goes by their stars will always shine brightly, all are truly one of a kinds and are all equally great in my humble opinion!
